Judy Heumann, Disability Rights Activist

The Washington Group on Disability Statistics mourns the passing of Judy Heumann. Judy was a friend and early supporter of the WG. She championed the rights of people with disabilities, of women, and of all to enjoy full participation in society. The important work that Judy did to advance equalization of opportunities for all will be her enduring legacy. Her friendship and support of the WG will very much be missed.
